Cambridge police booked five freshmen last night at 11:55 p.m. for "disturbance of the peace" during a rally for Governor Dever at the Commander Hotel.

The students were: Arthur B. Ellison, Peter D. M. Sererie, Stephen Shohet, Charles E. Beveridge, and Rector K. Fox.

The students were arrested by officers Murray, Clancy, Storey, and Morrissey. All were held for ball at $27 each, and will be brought up for trial at the East Cambridge Third District Court this morning at 9 a.m.

According to Murray, the five tried to take over two search lights in front of the Commander Hotel, where Dever was speaking. Afterwards, he added, they shouted obscenities, some of them directed at Dever.

Edward T. Wilcox, assistant dean of freshmen, and Charles Gray, proctor at Massachusetts Hall, arrived at the police station at 12 o'clock to arrange ball for the five.

The Dever rally last night also caused a crowd of over 200 freshmen to congregate in the Square. University police collected several bursar's cards before the students were dispersed.
