To the Editors of the CRIMSON:
In line with your sensible proposal that the Divinity School be abolished, we suggest that Memorial Church also be tern down. Considerable financial benefits will follow: (1) the expense of maintaining that structure, and of conducting services there will be saved: and (2) the area thus vacated can be profitably used for some money-making project--such as a parking lot.
We are sure that the CRIMSON will agree will us that the money earned from the lot might well be used to employ even more Mathers. Shapleys, and Schlesingers whose religions skepticism testifies to Harvard's unwavering devotion to its Founder's purpose. John Burr Williams Jr. '54 Karl Wilber '54
Note: We'll bet our Yale game tickets that this letter is not printed.
