Scoring in every inning, the Hollis-Stoughton team was never headed as it rolled over the Graduate School, 31-12, in the Summer Softball League's opening game last Monday.
The Stoughton team established itself as one of the powerhouses of the league with an amazing display of hitting and fielding which leed the game from almost the very outset.
Stoughton had a 12-0 lead before the Grads broke into the scoring column with four runs on two walks and four singles.
When Stoughton scored ten runs in the top of the fourth on seven hits and four errors by the Grads, both managers made copious substitutions, and it was due to this that the score of the game reached unusual proportions. Art Davis, Stoughton pitcher, struck out five, but also walked the same number.
