The first showing of the March of Time's short, "Invitation to Harvard," will open at the University Theatre this Sunday, it was announced yesterday. The film will continue at the U. T. through Tuesday as part of the regular show. It will also be shown at the Commencement Eve Yard concert on Wednesday, June 20.
The short, which portrays student life in the College and the graduate schools, is still in the working stage. Scenes from this year's Commencement Day exercises will make up the last part of the movie.
Once finished, it will be made available to high schools, preparatory schools, alumni, and other groups interested in the University. It aims to give them a better understanding of the post-war version of College life.
Richard de Rochemont '28 and Richard Millett '46, executives of the March of Time, headed the movie crew.
