Blood, Sweat and Tears

The Mail

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

Exam periods are hard on a man. The conscientious undergraduate who now rises in time to eat House breakfast is faced with an intolerable dilemma on reaching Lamont Library.

There are only six water closets serving the three middle levels. These must serve over two hundred people during the post-breakfast runs. Students who are unable to head for the better-equipped first of fifth levels often must endure a long wait before they are accommodated.

If Lamont is unwilling to install temporary chemical facilities, at least the stall lights should be dimmed after mealtimes. This way earlycomers will be unable to go over reading notes or scribble on the walls while less fortunate compatriots suffer. H. G. Howard '53
