Senate Committee Remands Order Halting Youth Argosy Trips Abroad

Youth Argosy will be able to run planes this summer after all, thanks to a now ruling by the Senate Small Business Committee.

Students and teachers throughout the country who had their transportation to Europe threatened last month when the Civil Aeronautics Board banned Youth Argosy operations will be assured of passage, Argosy headquarters announced yesterday.

Letters went out to 100 men in the University announcing that the Senate committee, after receiving over 500 letters and telegrams protesting its banning action, has ruled to let Argosy run the fights that it had planned for this summer.

It is not yet certain whether Argosy will be able to continue chartering lowcost flights to Europe after this summer. The board originally banned it because it reputedly was taking too much business away from the scheduled airlines.
