Japanese Communist leaders knew about the North Korean invasion at least ten weeks before it happened, Rodger A. Swearingen, Research Fellow in the Russian Research Center, said yesterday in a radio interview.
Swearingen stated that Japanese and Korean Communists held a secreet meeting in Japan early in April 1950. They discussed joint plans for guerilla activity to support the invasion.
Swearingen said the conference was reported in a Tokyo news bulletin four days before the invasion.
