Japanese Knew Early of Korean Invasion, Research Fellows Says

Japanese Communist leaders knew about the North Korean invasion at least ten weeks before it happened, Rodger A. Swearingen, Research Fellow in the Russian Research Center, said yesterday in a radio interview.

Swearingen stated that Japanese and Korean Communists held a secreet meeting in Japan early in April 1950. They discussed joint plans for guerilla activity to support the invasion.

Swearingen said the conference was reported in a Tokyo news bulletin four days before the invasion.
