Three hundred College alumni in 48 states will give undergraduates free advice on future careers, Alexander Clark, assistant director of the Office of Student Placement announced yesterday. The program will begin over spring vacation this year for the third consecutive year that it has been offered.

Many of the advisers are executives in their respective fields. They will give suggestions to students both on their futures in general and on specific kinds of jobs. The program, however, is not intended just to enable collegians to get summer jobs, the placement office emphasized.

Students who want to talk to the advisers in their communities can get the alumni names in the Office of Student Placement before vacation. Most of the counselors live in the key big cities in their states.

The advising program was first offered on an informal basis in 1948.
