Deans Will Delay Action on Rioters

Possible College disciplinary action against the three Harvard and two Dartmouth students arrested in a riot at Waldorf Cafeteria a week ago Sunday morning will not be considered by the respective Dean's Offices at this time.

The local participants have been informed that the College will await the outcome of the criminal hearing scheduled in Cambridge on April 9.

At Dartmouth, Dean Lloyd K. Neldlinger has referred the matter to the Undergraduate Council Judiciary Committee, which will investigate and then recommend appropriate action to the faculty-administration Committee on Administration.

In a formal statement, Dean Neidlinger said, "In view of testimony that these students were unnecessarily mistreated by police officers after their arrest was fully accomplished, the accounts of this incident in the press are being carefully checked and a thorough investigation conducted."
