3 Grads Win Grants For Studies in Rome

Three graduate students won fellowships to the American Academy in Rome, James K. Smith, president of the Academy, announced yesterday. Richard E. Baringer 3D was awarded a fellowship in architecture; Donald F. Brown 2G and Philip F. Wooby 2G received grants for classical studies.

Ten fellowships in all were awarded in the United States, each valued at $3,000 in travel allowance, free residence at the Academy, and stipend for a year.
