1,200 Attend Open-Closed Rally; Most Spirit Ever, Says Randa

College claustrophobes got the shock of their lives last night. Upwards of 1,200 loyally boisterous. Open and Closed rooters packed Holyoke Street in front of the Blockhouse for the successive rallies of their alma maters.

Alvin R. Randall, chief of the University police, admitted that it was the most spirited rally he has seen of Harvard.

Open, which plays as the visiting team in this afternoon's Inter-House All-Star game in the Stadium, got in its licks first.

Three Open favorites put in personal appearances: head coach Dike Hyde former Kirkland player Slug Dolas, and Elihu Open himself.

Closed College, represented by even too athletic and high-spirited supporters, took the stand immediately thereafter, accompanied by a full-scale band and cheerleading squad.
