Calhoun features a versatile offense built around the up-the-middle power of Eli fullback Kurt. Marshall second team to Eli Captain Bob Spears last year--and the passing attack of Bill McCandless--brother of former Princeton star, Hugh.

WINTHROP vs. DAVENPORT

Near-miss Winthrop should not have too much difficulty with Davenport College this afternoon in a game starting at 3:15 p.m. The second-place Puritans were ousted from the House title last week, when they lost to underdog Leverett by one touchdown.

The Davenport Hybrids have been weak this season, and several times have been the victims of shutouts. Passer Jim Brown is erratic, but Paul Sapdone is an outstanding kicker.

LOWELL vs PIERSON

Chances will be better for Lowell's Bellboys, tied for second in the House league, to turn the trick against Pierson in a 2 p.m. contest.

The Bellboys, improving as the season progressed, lost only one game and tied strong Winthrop. Pierson's relatively sluggish offense has been paced by fast halfback Charlie Howland.

DUNSTER vs. BERKELEY

Dunster's fourth-place football team will have a tough time at 2 p.m. this afternoon against Yale's Berkeley College. Berkeley was second only to champion Calhoun in North League play in New Haven.
