The Student Council unanimously approved last night a proposal that Friday and Saturday night room permissions be extended from 8 to 11 p.m. The plan was outlined in a letter sent to the House Masters last week by Richard M. Sandler '52, president of the Student Council, and the chairmen of six of the House Committees.
Robert H. Cole '52 added an amendment suggesting that Claverly, Dudley, and Apley be included in the proposed new parietal rules. Some members felt that freshmen might also be considered, but this was not written into the letter. Sandler commented that considering the way the letter is worded. "I think we could include the outhouses and the freshmen if we choose."

A few Council members asked if there was "any possibility of playing for a midnight permission." Sandler replied that such a request would be "shooting too high" and would invite a "flat rejection."
Sandler and David L. Stark '53 will attend the Housemasters' meeting tomorrow night, but discussion of a possible program of House deans may occupy the whole evening. In that case, Sandler and Stark will meet with a committee of Masters later in the week.
