Dr. Richard Ford, acting director of the Department of Legal Medicine, will testify in court today about the death of Mrs. Mary C Bridges.
Investigation of the young Boston socialite's suspected murder was pursued under the insistence of her husband after Ford declared the woman had died by drowning.
Meanwhile, another member of the Legal Medicine Department, Dr. Bruce Harold, told a superior court in Barnstable yesterday, that Laurel Prestat, recently found dead outside that town, had been strangled to death while on her back. He added that two small needle holes were found in her arm. The testimony was given in the trial of Dr. Jackson M. Rice of Hyannis, accused of attempted abortion.
