Nahant police yesterday called the Legal Medicine Department for the second time in three weeks. Authorities asked Dr. Richard Ford, head of the department, to submit a report on the recent death of Dr. Albert Covner, 51-year-old heart specialist.
Dr. Covner was in the headlines last week when his teen-aged baby sitter stole a $20,000 nest egg hidden in his home and went to New York on a spree.
His body was found dead in his car last Saturday. Nearby was a vial of nitroglycerine, a common heart stimulant. Bottles of pills were found in his pockets.
The department of Legal Medicine has been examining the body and the scene of the crime until yesterday, when the Nahant doctor was buried. So far, it has issued no report.
