Lully's opera, Amadis de Gaulle, will receive its American premiere in Lowell House, March 15, as the Lowell House Musical Society's 1951 production, that organization announced last night.
Tryouts, under the direction of G. Wallace Woodworth '24, professor of Music, to fill the large stage and pit choruses will be held in the dining hall at 8:30 p.m. tonight. The solo parts for the 17th century work will be filled at open auditions in the Common Room at 7 p.m.
The entire production is under the supervision of Peter Judd '53 with Malcolm H. Holmes '28, in charge of the orchestra.
