The Radio Network continues its University wide expansion program this week by connecting the Graduate School's Hastings Hall with the W.H.R.B. coaxil cable, Mallinckrodt Laboratory will probably be connected within several weeks, but the schedule for installing tuning units at the new Graduate Center is still indefinite.
W.H.R.B. engineers explained yesterday that installations can be made at Mallinckrodt as soon as the problem of radio signals interfering with physics experiments is worked out.
The delay at the Graduate Center is attributed to the fact that tuning units can not be placed until University contractors complete the electrical work at the Center. This Network cable is, however, already run up to the Graduate Center.
Network engineers added that W.H.R.B. will transmit its programs to any University laboratory, if the lab students will take up subscriptions to pay for the cost of installation.
