"A number" of freshman bursar's cards were on Dean Leighton's desk Friday morning as a result of the Class of '53's riot the night before, but the Freshman Dean doesn't know yet whether or not any of the exam-time revellers will be punished.

The cards were turned over to the assistant freshman deans for investigation, and the matter will go before the Administrative Board tomorrow. Unofficial sources at University Hall believed Friday that nothing would be done to the offenders.

Cambridge and University police collected the cards from a few of the hundreds of Yard residents who swarmed through the Yard, Cambridge Common, and over to Radcliffe Thursday night in a rare display of traditional "Rinehart" spirit.

"Rinehart! Rinehart!"

The riot started around 11 p. m. when a small group of freshmen, calling "Rinehart" in front of Matthews Hall, mushroomed into a disorganized mob shouting "we want Conant."

The mob headed toward the President's residence, was warded off by a Yard proctor, and marched to the Radcliffe quadrangle, where ingenious girls poured water from windows on the pajama-clad Yardlings.
