Dartmouth Edges Tennis Team, 5-4

Tennis coach Jack Barnaby called his shots when he named the varsity a slight underdog in a tough battle with Dartmouth Saturday. On their courts, the Green won, 5 to 4, with all of their wins coming from the first five singles.

Aaron Cohodes played his usual steady game to give the Crimson their only singles victory at number six. The three teams of Broward Craig-Captain Hilliard Hughes, Bob Bramhall-Chase Peterson, and Bill Goodman-Craig Combs all came through to sweep the doubles.

Corey Wynn's Yardlings were more fortunate, taking a 6 to 3 victory from the Green, also at Hanover. Dave Watts, in the singles lineup for the first time, came through to tie the match at three-all. His play in the doubles contributed to one of the final three wins which clinched the match.
