The varsity lacrosse team has a chance to boost Yale into the New England League championship this afternoon by upsetting the Dartmouth ten at 3 p.m. on the Business School Field. A perennial lacrosse power, the Indians have held the league title since 1940.

Dartmouth lost its first league game in four years to undefeated Yale, 11 to 7 last Saturday, three days after dropping its first contest this season to a strong Syracuse club. The Green has kept in league contention, however, by edging Williams, 3 to 2, in the mud Wednesday.

The Crimson ten, which plays either very bad or very good lacrosse, played a half a game of each against Williams last Saturday before losing, 12 to 4. If Harvard plays the kind of ball it did in the second half at Williamstown, devotees of the "fastest game on two feet" will probably ace the best game of the local season tomorrow--otherwise they should spend the afternoon at Fenway Park.

Departmental and Special examinations kept Coach Bruce Munro's seniors away from practice this week, and the team did not hold a full scrimmage until yesterday. Offsetting some of this week's problems, which began last Saturday, is the return to limited action of creaseman Ned Yost and third midfielder Pete Brooke, both of whom missed the Williams game.
