Big First Inning Helps Dunster Tip Eliot, 11-1

Dunster scored six runs in the first inning yesterday and went on to beat Eliot, 11 to 1, in a game called after four innings because of darkness Meanwhile, Dudley, behind the two-hit pitching of Don Cass, downed Leverett, 3 to 0.

Gerry Ulin and Nat Harris shared the pitching for the Funsters, limiting Eliot to only two hits. In addition, each got two hits. Ulin picked up final credit for the win. Arnie Honeywell, starter for the Elephants, was charged with the loss.

The Funsters clinched the game in their first time at bat. Ulin helped his own cause by belting a long double with the bases loaded.

Harris and Bill Fitzpatrick, Dunster's sophomore catcher, each scored three times during the game.

In House softball yesterday, Winthrop shut out Lowell, 6 to 0, while Kirkland, riding on the crest of a six-run sixth inning, trimmed Adams, 17 to 6.
