Competitions for book, music and lyrics for next year's Hasty Pudding show are now officially open, Nicholts Benton '51 chairman of the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, announced yesterday.
Requirements for entrance in the competition include only satisfactory scholastic standing and "fresh, original material," said Benton.
May 1st is the deadline for preliminary synopses of books. At that time, competitors must also present two or three completed scones and four or five songs.
Judgement of scripts will be based on the novelty of the contents," said Benton. "We invite students to enter the competition in teams if they desire; everyone is welcome to come down to the office and discuss his plans," he added.
