Ten Men Receive New Scholarships Given by Alumni

The committee on Scholarships announced yesterday the first winners of new scholarships donated by the classes of 1900 and 1925.

Funds for the awards were made available to the College at the classes' 50th and 25th reunions respectively, last June, Allan H. W. Higgins '25, chairman of his class reunion, told the CRIMSON at that time that the 1925 award would go to students "who show prowess in athletics and other non-scholastic affairs and who meet the College's regular entrance requirements."

The Class of 1925 winners are: Richard T, Duback '53 of Cleveland and Kirkland House, John L. Lewis '52 of Houston, Texas and Dunster House, Robert C. Mello '53 of Rutland, Vermont, and Winthrop House, and Robert W. Tolf '51 of Park Ridge, Illinois, and Winthrop House.

The Class of 1900 winners are: Gilbert W. O'Neil '53 of Gloucestor and Eliot House and Lowell Sachnoff '52 of Chicago and Leverett House.

The Scholarship Committee also announced yesterday the four winners of the Class of 1924's scholarships. They are Stuart G. Flerage, Jr. '52 of Cincinnati and Lowell House, Forest W. Hansen '53 of Racine, Wisconsin, and Eliot House, Richard T. Loring, Jr. '51 of Duxbury and Leverett House, and Edward K. L. Upton '53 of Marblehead and Dudley Hall.
