Princeton's undefeated Tigers, who take on the Crimson Saturday at Palmer Stadium, lead the Ivy League in rushing, total offense, and team defense according to statistics released yesterday. Tiger tailback Dick Kazmaier placed second in individual offense, and Bob Unger, Princeton wingback, is the individual scoring leader.
Carroll Lowenstein is the only Harvard player to place in the Ivy statistics, ranking fifth in individual passing. The Crimson is last in both team offense and team defense.
Kazmaier is also fourth in punting and fifth in rushing, right behind teammate Jack Davison.
Princeton has played six games, and has gained a total of 2716 yards--1976 rushing and 740 passing, in 437 attempts. Its game average is 452.7 yards. On defense the Tigers have allowed 466 yards rushing and 810 yards passing for a league-leading game average of 212.7 yards.
In league competition the Tigers have been unscored upon in two games, while racking up 63 points. Princeton has also moved up into second place behind Army in competition for the Lambert Trophy.
