Debaters Defeat Holy Cross Here

The debating team defeated Holy Cross last night in the Lamont Forum Room on the subject, "Resolved, That the non-Communist nations should from a new international organizations."

William A. Day '52 and Helmut F. Furth '52 presented the negative for the Crimson; Robert Waetzel and John McGary argued the affirmative for Holy Crosss. Robert E. Baldwin, instructor in Economics, was the judge.

Day the Furth based their argument on the promise that two organizations, one Communist and one non-Communists, would tend to magnify and increase those differences already existing. Holy Cross argued that a new organization replacing the United Nations would be able to maintain peace where the U.N. has failed.
