Leverett and Dudley, both with unbeaten touch football records, fought to a 36 to 36 tie yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. It was a see-saw battle all the way, with Dudley leading by one touchown until the last play of the game.
Lowell Sachnoff's passes were responsible for five of the Leverett scores. Si Lippman, George Hargreaves, Sol Skoler and Julie Garelick were the receiving ends. The other touchdown was made when Dick Reynolds intercepted a Dudley pass by Eddy Foyenes.
Foyenes to Redmond
For Dudley, Foyenes and Ambrose Redmond shared passing and receiving honors respectively for four of the Commuters' scores. Jim Garbin took one pass from each of them for the other two touchdowns.
Each team has three games left to play.
The Eliot-Kirkland game was protested by the Deacons, because of the last play. The score was 18 to 12 in Eliot's favor, but officials will decide today whether the game will be replayed.
