A drive to help support the first displaced person in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences went over the top Tuesday night, Edward G. Wilson 4G, chairman of the Graduate School Student Council reported last night.

A total of $421.57 by preliminary count was collected in a day-and-night fund-raising attempt. Added to $80 gathered last spring, the drive has surpassed the $500 quota promised to the University. The University had previously guaranteed an $800 scholarship to the displaced person with the understanding that the council would make up the remainder of his living expenses.

The student, Yugoslavian Parferry Saworotnaw, was selected last term from a list of eligibles published by the World Student Service Fund.
