Eastern Football Figures Put Army, Cornell Far Out Front

The Cornell football team leads the East in total defense and ranks fourth nationally in this department, according to figures released yesterday by the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Army ranks first in the East in total offense, rushing offense, and rushing defense, and is second in total defense. Tops in passing offense is Holy Cross, and the individual passing leader is Crusader quarterback Charlie Maloy. Dartmouth's Johnny Clayton places fourth behind Maloy.

In other individual categories, Penn's Red Bagnell is pacing the East in total offense, with Maloy third; Dick Doyne, of Lehigh, is first in rushing, with Yale's Ed Senay third; and Avatus Stone, of Syracuse, has taken over the punting leadership from Bob Blaik.
