HYRC Canvassers Campaign Locally

Thirty Young Republicans have started canvassing Cambridge voters for their candidates to the State House, Gordon L. Poole '49 2L H.Y.R.C. head, announced yesterday. The Club has also joined with the Law School Democratic Club in setting up an absentees ballot booth in Langdell South for out-of-state students.

The canvassers have been handing out campaign material for Republican Senate candidate Copley Amory, Jr., '12 and House candidates Francis W. Dennison Swan '17. The door-bell ringers will concentrate on the 24,000 independent voters in wards seven and eight, according to Poole.

The absentee ballot booth is open from 1 to 4 p.m. every weekday. The students in the Law School Democratic Club have looked up the statutes for proxy voting in all the states. Mimeographed forms will be supplied for each state.
