Busy School Gets $90,000 in Gifts

A sum of $90,000 has been given to the Business School by two business corporations to endow annual scholarships to aid young men to study business administration.

The gifts of $60,000 from the R. H. Macy Trust Fund and $30,000 from the Corning Class Works were disclosed last night by Dean Donald K. David, who called them significant indications of the "continuing interest of business men" in bringing the "ablest young men of America into the field of business management."

The Macy donation will be known as the R.H. Macy & Co., Inc. Scholarship Fund, in memory of Jesse I. Straus, Percy S. Straus, and Herbert N. Straus, while the Corning gift will be known as the Corning Glass Works Scholarship in memory of Alanson B. and Arthur A. Houghton.
