PBH Seeks Stars At Tryout Today

Assorted student talent will begin performing at 2 p.m. today in Phillips Brooks House in the first of a two day series of auditions to win spots on the roster of the Entertainment Bureau.

The Entertainment Bureau, a division of the Student Employment Office in Weld Hall, farms out magicians, guitarists, pianists, bagpipers, glass blowers, dance orchestras, and experts on the Greek underground to clubs, churches, or schools in Greater Boston. There is no booking charge made to either employer or employee.

Clowns, expert pianists, drama coaches, and experienced lecturers are especially in demand, Mary L. McLain, supervisor of the Entertainment Bureau, said yesterday. Applications for auditions will still be accepted in the Weld Hall office today, she said.
