Famous '14 Crew 'Rows' Tomorrow

Harvard's 1914 crew, which started the rowing world by winning the Grand Challenge Cup in the Henley Regatta on the Thames that year, will gather tomorrow for its thirty-fifth reunion, a feature of which will be a short "pull" on the Charles.

Averaging 175 pounds, this eight won over a field which included four English crews; a German crew; a boat from the Winnipeg Rowing Club; and one from the Union Boat Club of Boston made up of Harvard graduates. In the final, it covered 1 5/16 miles in 7:20.

The crew was captained by Leverett Saltonstall '14, who rowed bow.
