Glee Club to Give Last of Widener Concerts Tonight

Members of the Glee Club will present the third and last in this year's series of spring Yard concerts tonight at 7 p.m. on the steps of Widener Library. Listeners who are University members will also have their last chance to join in the traditional singing of football songs after the concert.

After the Memorial Church bells ring for the traditional seven minutes before the hour, the Glee Club will open the program with "My Spirit, Be Joyful," by Bach, and continue with "Crucifixus," by Lotti.

Among other numbers on the program are two songs from "Apollonian Harmony" and two choruses from Offenbach's "La Belle Helen."

Several popular pieces will be repeated tonight. "Tarantella," by Randall Thompson '20 will be sung for a second time this spring. Based on a poem by Hilaire Belloc, this number was written for the Yale Glee Club in 1937. The Choruses from "Patience" will also get a repeat performance.
