Dunster Dunces Sing on Network

Dunster House's unique singing troupe, the Dunces, winds up its third season when it presents its "best numbers of the year" tonight in a 30-minute WHRV broadcast starting at 8 p.m.

The 13-man group--no more, no fewer can sing in the Dunces--will offer such numbers as "Lydia the Tattooed Lady," "With Her Head Tucked Underneath Her Arm," and "Good Night Little Girl, Good Night," as it puts the finishing touches on a year that has included 25 singing engagements.

The Dances, organized two years ago last November, have sung at every Dunster House function this year, and have offered other performances else-where around the College at Smith, and last weekend at Vassar.

The group rehearses twice-weekly at meetings in the Dunster Large Common Room under the leadership of Walter E. Albrechi, Jr. '49. Since the meetings usually come just before dinner, the Dunces frequently don't stop singing until their harmonies have entertained House diners.

Arrangements for the Dunces, whose only uniform is a crimson-bow-tie, are by J. Fairley McDinald '49.
