Big Four Foreign Ministers who meet in Parts today in seek a German settlement may seize a favorable opportunity to explore a broader armistice in the cold war, diplomats said yesterday.

Those explorations might deal with Greece, Austria, China, and the atomic question. The foreign ministers completed their pre-conference strategy meetings yesterday.

House Republican leaders yesterday made the Administration's multi-billion dollar Housing program the target for a new economy drive. Joseph Martin, of Massachusetts, called a mass meeting of all GOP House member for today, to shape party policy on the bill. The bill goes before the House Rules Committee today.

Senator Bourke Hickenlooper (R-lows) demanded yesterday that David E. Lillenthal resign as chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission for "incredible mismanagement." Lillenthal promptly replied that the nation's atomic "preeminence" is the answer to the Senator's vague and ungenerous wholesale indictment."
