NSA Given $715 For Illinois Trip

The National Student Association delegation will carry $715 of Council money in its pocket to the NSA convention at Urbana, Illinois this August.

The Council appropriated the money, which is the major part of the NSA yearly expense, at its session last Monday. It is approximately the same amount used last year although 11 men are going this year instead of eight.

Delegates Pay

The delegates and alternates will make up the additional balance of expense by paying for their own board, to the estimated amount of $200.

In appropriating the money, the Council allowed the NSA a loophole. If they sell more than 1000 purchase cards next year, the Council, which is at present getting a big slice of the card earnings, will turn over the first $100 to the men who paid their own board at the convention.

Expenses

NSA expenses at Harvard run to about $1200 each year. Other expenses, besides the big annual trip, include trips to smaller regional conferences of various sorts, printing of information, and mailing.

The gathering will take 11 days, also an increase from last year. Students gather from NSA-affiliated colleges all over the country and make plans for the coming year, passes on the activities of the previous year, and make those contacts and Reasons that are so necessary for NSA work.
