Crimson tennis players have an excellent chance of returning to winning ways this afternoon when they engage MIT at 3:45 p.m. on the Soldiers Field courts.

Beaten 6 to 1 by Princeton Saturday, Coach Jack Barnaby's squad should have little trouble with the Engineers, who have graduated most of last year's team which lost to Harvard, 9 to 0. But the Crimson will have no delusions of grandeur, for Tech this season boasts several good, young players.

Harvard will enter the Tech match with a season's record of eight and five. The varsity's most recent wins have come over Columbia, Amherst, and Bowdoin, but in between have come thumping defeats by Princeton and North Carolina.

Swartzman May Play

Howie Swartzman is a good bet to play in the Crimson's number six spot this afternoon for the first time since the start of the campaign. In April Swartzman took a leave of absence from the team in favor of academic occupations, but he rejoined the squad last week. Barnaby will use him today if he looks ready.

The rest of the singles lineup is the same, with Bud Ager, Ted Bullard, Charlie Ames, Hilliard Hughes, and Jack Frey scheduled to perform in the numbers one through five matches. Doubles pairs will be Ager and Bullard, Ames and Hughes, and Jay Robb and Dave Key.
