Lowell's baseball team extended its unbeaten record yesterday by routing Leverett, 16 to 3, for its fifth win, while Eliot edged Winthrop, 3 to 7.

The Bellboys, spent a pleasant afternoon at the place and then danced around the bases to the tune of 16 hits. High points of the Lowell barrage were a triple and a double by Fred Glimp and doubles by John Goldsmith, Bob Woodstaff, and Jeff Watkins.

Glimp and Woodruff hit three out of four, Goldsmith and Fred Donahue, two out of three, and Duke Germley, two out of four.

Lowell pitcher Frank Lionette allowed the Bunnies seven hits, including doubles by Dave Belcher and Bob Salerno.

Eliot broke a 7 to 7 tie in the last inning to hand Winthrop its second loss of the season. Jim Rossiter dubbed a scratch hit towards third and Jim Hope singled on an awkward pop fly to give the Elephants men on first and second.

Then Zeke Kanzaki grounded out to the advance the runner to second and third. A single to left by Jack Merril hit in the winning tally.

In softball Kirkland downed Dudley, 12 to 3, and Dunster bowled over Adams, 13 to 5.

Leverett defeated Lowell, 4 to 2, and Adams beat Kirkland, 4 to 5, in golf. Eliot took an automatic win from Dudley, which decided not to field a team this season.
