Win Over Navy Highlights Ball Team's Trip; Stickmen Wilt

Lacrosse Team Routed by Navy, Maryland, Edged by Penn, Finally Beats Stevens

The lacrosse team ought to keep north of the Charles in spring vacation. It's hard enough to beat Navy and Maryland any time, but in the early spring when the southern teams have had extra practice time as well, it is plain suicide.

Three first loss, came to Coach Munro's team at Philadelphia last Monday, when Penn won out in an extremely tight game, 8 to 7.

The team spent the next two nights under Navy's hospitable roof, and then was led out to the lacrosse field for the slaughter. The Middles, one of the East's perennial powers, won 18 to 2.

Then on to Maryland, another of the giants of the sport, which beat the varsity 12 to 5. The latter score is actually a good sign for Harvard, scoring five points against Maryland is equivalent to scoring three touchdowns against Notre Dame.

Saturday the team scurried north to Hoboken and walloped Stevens Tech by the highly respectable, and satisfactory, score of 9 to 2.
