WHRV will broadcast the program Reveille in Swingtime" from a remote location each Wednesday morning, according to D. Ben Minnich '50, co-producer of the program. College dining halls will be among the favored locations, along with other Cambridge eating places.
The program, which goos on from 8 to 10 a.m. each weekday morning, took place in Hazen's restaurant yesterday morning. Minnich said that because of the success of the broadcast the staff will attempt to send the program from a dining hall on April 13.
"Reveille in Swingtime" consists of two hours of recorded music, commentary, news, and interviews. Minnich and James H. Townsond '50 are the Wednesday broadcasters.
The "remote" broadcasts will generally be sent to the studio in Dudley Hall over telephone lines. Yesterday's trial program was sent from Hazen's because a direct line could be strung to the nearby Dudley Hall.
