Roger B. Hunt '52 received the remaining $35 owed him by Armand J. Fournier, local furniture dealer, yesterday. Hunt had ordered and paid $45 for a refrigerator that Fournier allegedly failed to deliver, and had threatened court action to regain his money.
Fournier has also promised to pay Arthur A. Maass, assistant professor of Government, in full on a similar charge at 8:30 a.m. this morning. The third claim hanging against Fournier was wiped out today when Burton K. Williams 3L was paid $16.66 on his demand that Fournier buy back a couch he had sold him as promised.
Commencing on the recent legal action brought against him, and attendent publicity, Fournier said yesterday that his business was "at a standstill."
