Two Armed Men Arrested at HAA

Cambridge detectives arrested two men yesterday afternoon, in what appeared to be an attempt to rob the H.A.A. ticket office.

The excitement started when Inspector William Trodden and Lieutenant Joseph B. Breen noticed a car proceeding up Quincy Street in the wrong direction.

The car stopped and two men dashed into the H.A.A. office before Trodden and Breen could reach their vehicle. When the two men came out of the office again, the detectives asked them for their driving licenses.

In the course of the interview, Trodden the Dartmouth ticket sales money, searched the men and found two revolvers. One was a toy, but the other was real.

The men were immediately taken into and Breen, whose job it was to protect custody and booked for illegal possession of arms at the Cambridge Police Station. George T. Cobb, 18 of Ox Bow, Wayland, who possessed the real gun, was released on $100 bail. Police will not disclose the other man's name, as he is a minor. He was turned over to his parents.
