Lyons Speaks On Journalism Today

Louis M. Lyons, curator of Nieman Fellowships, will cover the field of journalism in a talk at the Boston Public Library at 8 p.m. tonight. The lecture, open to the public, will deal with the characteristics of journalism and its part in literature.

Lyons will answer questions in addition to his talk. He said his lecture "would not be too detailed."

A Nieman Fellow in 1938-39, Lyons has had many years of practical journalism. In his position as Nieman Curator, he must judge newswriting and the value of the work of reporters and editors.

The lecture is the second in a series offered by the Public Library this year. The purpose of the series is to show how to write the various forms of literature. Last week Theodore Morrison, head of English A at the College, spoke an poetry at the Library.
