Howie Houston is the only member of this season's varsity squad to make the 1948 Ivy League All-Star team.

Seven of the eight Ivy League colleges are represented on the team selected yesterday by the Associated Press with the help of the Ivy coaches. Cornell, League champion, places two men, as do Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, and Columbia. Harvard, Yale, and Princeton supply one man each, while Brown is unrepresented.

No Harvard player made the second team, but honorable mention goes to captain Kenny O'Donnell and Hal Moffle.

The only unanimous choice was Charles Bednarik, 23-year-old, 220-pound center for Pennsylvania. Richard Clark, 19-year-old tackle for Cornell, was the youngest player and only sophomore on the first team.

The backfield includes Gene Rossides and Lou Kusserow, Columbia's Goal Dust Twins, Levi Jackson, Yale captain-elect, and George Sella of Princeton.

Dale Armstrong of Dartmouth and Bob Sponaugle of Pennsylvania were chosen as ends, and Joe Quinn, Cornell captain, and Stewart Young of Dartmouth fill the guard slots.

Three men each from Princeton, Dartmouth, and Pennsylvania and two men from Yale were on the second team.

Houston was elected captain last week after completing his greatest season in a Harvard uniform, during which he played more minutes than any other lineman, alternating as offensive running guard and defensive tackle. The 22-year-old Junior comes from Haverhill.
