Indefinitely suspended from their college for spreading brown paint on Harvard buildings, twelve students of Brown University sent a letter of apology to Deans Watson and Bender, which was received yesterday.

The students were suspended by Dean Robert W. Kenney of Brown after they had been reported by the Harvard University police. Main target of the attack were the pillars in front of Widener Library.

The letter read:

"Since we are the individuals who were responsible for the damage done to the Widener Library columns, we feel that the least we can do is to extend our apologies to you and to Harvard University.

"Our intentions were not of a destructive nature. We meant only to leave a harmless sign of Brown spirit upon your campus. We honestly did not know that we picked a building that is so valuable and so cherished by your University.
