The lower echelons of the House Football League churned a bit yesterday but by last night attention was centered on today's all-deciding Kirkland-Eliot game.

Reports from the rival camps indicate that both teams are thoroughly prepared both physically and spiritually for the contest this afternoon at 3:15 p.m. on Soldiers Field. If the Deacons win, the league's top three teams, Kirkland, Eliot, and Winthrop, will be tied with 5-1 records.

In yesterday's encounters, Adams swooped into the win column at the expense of Leverett, 20 to 6; while Lowell squeezed up to the .500 mark with a 13 to 0 victory over Dudley.

Sparked by the backfield play of Roger Davis, who scored two touchdowns, and Sandy Evans, the Goldcoasters nudged into a tie with the defeated Commuters (1-5) for last place.

In the Yard leagues, Thayer Middle retained its grip on first place in the American with a win yesterday, and in the National, Straus' protest for a replay with Matthews North was granted by the Freshman Athletic Committee.
