Field Hockey Team Opens Against Jackson Monday

Radcliffe hockey enthusiasts will line up to face Jackson College next Monday on the Medford green for the Cliffe's first inter-collegiate match. Ann Clark '49, president of the Annex A. A., announced this week.

On November 9, the team meets Pine Manor and on November 12, Pembroke. Both games will be played on the Radcliffe Quadrangle. Games with the Boston Hockey Club, Regis Junior College, and the Harvard Foreign Students' team will be scheduled later.

This will be the first time the games will be played under the new athletic club system, instead of by a regular varsity team. Aimed at increasing participation in all sports, the club system, according to Miss Clark, provides opportunity for any girl interested in coming out for the sport of her choice.

As soon as there are enough players to form one team, a club is formed and a new one started. All the clubs are united under the Radcliffe A. A., and intercollegiate meets, each club plays for one period of the game.
