Boston's new Repertory Association, which opens its first season Friday, will offer a 30 per cent reduction in ticket prices to all University students and faculty, the Association announced yesterday.
The group will stage five plays ever a period of ten weeks at the Copley theatre. The opener is "The Road to Rome" by Robert E. Sherwood.
Subsequent productions will be "Heart break House" by George Bernard Shaw, "Noah" by Andre Obey, "The Showoff" by George Kelly and "sunrise in My Pocket," a new play by Edwin Justus Mayer."
Planning for the coming season started one year ago, when hundreds of Boston theatergoers joined together to sponsor a municipal theatre for Boston. The Association has been aided by the American National Theatre and Academy.
Charter members include Professor Harry T. Levin, Howard M. Le Sourd, Dean of the School of Public Relations at Boston University, and Clarence Derwent, president of Actor Equity.
