The '52 football team found itself unable to run or pass against a Holy Cross squad that was as nimble as it was heavy, and as a result the Yardlings dropped a one-sided 19-0 game Saturday at the Stadium.

With several members of the Crusader eleven weighing over 250 and standing over 6 ft. 6 in. it was small wonder that Holy Cross was able to run through and around the smaller Crimson line, piling up 18 first downs to the Yardlings' two.

All three Holy Cross scores followed long downfield marches, one in the first half and two more in the second. During a first quarter marge, Dusty Burke, Crimson defensive quarterback, was hurt and had to quit the game with a sprained knee.

Gallo Stars for Cross

Holy Cross' second touchdown was set up by a long 48-yard pass by Crusader quarterback Paul Gallo, who put on fancy runs all afternoon. The Crusaders later added another score on a Crimson punt when their blockers bottled up the entire Harvard team as safety-man Frank Matrango raced 35 yards for the final goal of the game.
