While many of the University's unhoused undergraduates are sweating it out in the Indoor Athletic Building, local married students also lack housing facilities, a recent survey indicates.
Both Harvardevens and the Brunswick have waiting lists, according to Edward L. Francis '28 of Hunneman and Company, which operates the projects, while the remaining University facilities for married students also have more applications than they can handle.
Meanwhile, the AVC Housing office reports itself defuged by requests for space. Seventy childless couples, plus 15 more who have children, are seeking living quarters in the Cambridge area. According to John A. Quisenberry '46, chairman of the housing group, "the situation is very dark" and probably will not improve until February.
